An Irish weekend!

I'm not Irish.

Not even a little tiny bit.

However, we still had some St. Patrick's Day fun this weekend!

Friday was a LOOONNNGGGG day at work for both of us,

and the evening was quite relaxed...

Saturday morning we packed up and were out the door by 9am.

My mom and step-dad were great enough to watch the girls for us, 

so we could go and have some grown-up fun with our friends!

We spent our evening out on the town, people-watching, and dancing like fools!

It was great!!!

Yesterday, we spent the morning laying around, drinking coffee and dreaming about greasy breakfast food. (we ended up having cereal)  

We slowly recovered from our night of debauchery and made the trek to my mom's to gather our children! They had so much fun at Grandma and Grandpas!

We had an early Irish dinner of corned beef sandwich's and then were off to visit some

other friends of ours! 

We were all snuggled in bed early last night, and I'm happy to say on this Blustery March day, that the girls and I are tucked at home with nowhere to go! Just wish Daddy was home to chill with us!

Dang those pesky jobs!!!

Snow Day

March is coming in like a LION!!

And as long as the saying holds true... I'm more than happy with that!

I was blessed to be home with my girls today and we spent ample time outside

playing in all the white stuff.

Well, they played.  I entertained my husband and used the electric snowblower

he got me for the first time.  Did a pretty good job too, except the extension cord 

doesn't reach all the way to the end of the driveway!

The girls had a great time, and took wonderful long naps after running 

amok outdoors all morning!

Back to work tomorrow! Happy Snow Day everyone!

Usually February is a pretty dull month in the Volovsek home

We don't have much going on and Valentine's for us, honestly... just another day.

But this year, well... it's been pretty nuts!

This past week alone, on top of our usual day-to-day stuff,

we've had time with friends, date weekend, and family birthday parties!

The girls are great and growing like weeds.

Lila is becoming such a big girl and Elle is the most funny little thing you've ever met!!!

Yes, I know it's the middle of February.  Yes, I know I've hardly posted anything worth mentioning.

It's been a weird / wild few weeks.

Maybe I'll get back on track in March.

Maybe.

I'm not feeling well.

I haven't been feeling normal for a few weeks.

It sucks.

Today I've managed to get 2 loads of laundry done and hit the gym.

Aside from that, I've pretty much been moving slow and not at all productive.

I need a little pick me up.

So I grabbed my much neglected camera this morning and snapped a few pictures.

Now, I've looked through them and found a few from earlier in January.

These make me smile.

Maybe they'll make you smile too!
