Memorial Weekend

Ok, this is going to be my fastest post in history.

I've got 9 minutes before the end of my shift, and if I can get 

a blessing of NO calls, I can get it done!

So..... without further adieu ...

The weekend was actually pretty great!  

A little mish-mash of everything, time with family and friends, time spent 

outside, a date, some grilling, sunshine, bike rides... all good things!

I'm going to throw up photos, and caption a few.

They do a better job of showing our time together than I could.

~The weekend started with some playtime outside.  Running around, finally enjoying the warm weather, and creating works of art on the driveway!!!  Ryan and I had a nice dinner out and caught a movie, and we actually got some decent sleep!~

~The next day it was off to visit some dear friends in Mankato!  We haven't seen them for far too long and it was such a great visit!  Next time, you guys can come to our place!  ~

~Monday was another day of enjoying the warm weather! 

We grilled out, got some plants potted, and got a great workout in!

~A certain little girl also decided to try riding a bike without training wheels!  Not quite yet, but she's SO CLOSE!!!

The Wedding Day (a week late)

So, I'm a little behind, but I wanted to share some photos

and special moments of my Sister and Tony's big day!

She was gorgeous!  The day was Perfect!

And the whole day went off without a hitch!

Alex, Tony... I love you guys and can't wait

to spend more time with you once things finally settle down!

Mother's Day

This year Mama's Day was pretty mellow.

A bit of a rough start, as the little one woke up with her

cranky pants on, but as the day went on, everything just got

better and better!!!

We attended church, that left me feeling refreshed and full.

I got some new workout duds and we baked some special treats

for my sister's wedding next weekend.  Some friends visited

and I ended my evening with a glass of wine, some cheese and crackers, 

and a comfy spot on the couch, listening to the rain coming down!

It was a good day!

The girls had a little program at their school on Friday, that I was able to attend...

It was absolutely darling, and I'm so happy I was able to go.  Sing, dance, and sit

criss-cross applesauce on the floor with my babies!  Nothing better!

I feel very fortunate to be among the privileged women who are celebrated

on this day! I was able to give my love to both my Mom and my Mother-in-law

and send well wishes to my friends who have the title of Mommy!

To the two little ones who have earned me the right to celebrate...  I love you beyond measure!

Grandview and a Wedding!!!

Last weekend Ryan and I were asked to be present at a small

intimate wedding of one of our very dear, longtime friends. 

We spent the weekend at Grandview Lodge, kids back home

with Ryan's sister (Thank you Kimmy!), and enjoyed the most

relaxing weekend we've had in ages!

The weather held out and although it was chilly, the rain stayed away

and we saw sun on multiple occasions!  

Cory and Taryn, once again, thank you so SO much for letting us

be there to share in your day and celebrate with you!

We love you and wish you all the joys of a wonderful marriage!

Elaina Grace ~ 4 Years Old

I know it's a bit delayed, but life gets busy, ya know?!

I wanted to share some photos of our special little girl on her very special day!

I was lucky enough to work just a half day, and we spent the rest of the day

taking photos (even with the crazy wind), and playing, and decorating cake, 

and having family over, and opening gifts, and eating cake...etc.!

My momentary baby nostalgia was short lived as I enjoyed watching my little

girl act every bit of her 4 years old!  She's a wise, and much older soul living in

that tiny little body!!  I cannot begin to tell you how much we love her.

Her hugs are something of legend, she can make any bad day better when she

wraps her whole body around you and grips you as tight as she can...  or when she

snuggles in your arms and pats your back, like she's soothing us :)
